The design is made in one piece, in my case I print it all in white and paint the edges with black acrylic, or otherwise in two colors with black and white filament, to make the change of the filament I am attentive to when it begins to make the edges that should be black and I make the change. It is recommended to use positive horizontal expansion of 0.1 to 0.3. If you want to paint with acrylics it is recommended to cover with matte or gloss lacquer or otherwise with resin.
