Day 6: Gingerbread
cults3d
Dear Santa, My name is Gingerbread and I'm only two days old. My creator has told me to write to you because he thinks your heart will be touched by my Christmas wish. To have four little brothers, I'll need a few simple ingredients: 15 ounces of water, a pot for boiling it, 60 grams of caster sugar, one pinch of salt, and 150 grams of honey. My friend has advised the baker to add three grams of "mixture number 4 spices," four grams of star anise, some lemon zest, lime zest, and orange zest too. We'll need a large pot for all these ingredients and a watch so we can infuse it off the heat for twenty minutes. After that, I'll want a utensil for straining, one with a handle on it, to make 155 grams of flour, one pinch of bicarbonate, five grams of baking soda, and a big bowl. Next, I'd like a sieve so we can add the flour gradually into the machine, and maybe some baking paper too. We'll need a cake pan as well, and that's all! Once it's cooked, my brothers will be able to breathe easily on a rack. I hope you find everything in your bag, Father Christmas. We don't have a fireplace, but we'd love for you to come visit our bakery with some cakes. Sincerely, Gingerbread Check out the new Dagoma NEVA or explore the Dagoma Discoeasy200.
