The Legend of "Tornado, Reindeer" You're probably wondering why reindeer help Santa Claus deliver all those gifts? To understand this, we need to go back to the start of the Christmas story when Santa only gave gifts in his small town of Lapland. For centuries, a family of reindeer lived in the mountains of Lapland. Like clockwork, they traveled long distances every year to find food and a safe place for their young ones during birth season. And just like every year before, they successfully protected their babies. But this year was different. On December 21st, winter didn't show up as usual. The reindeer waited, but still no winter came. Then, a rumor spread among the family that an angel living on top of Lapland's highest mountain had magical powers to make wishes come true with his trumpet. That's when Tornado, the fastest reindeer in the family, decided to gather seven other reindeer and go find this magical angel. After several days of walking, they entered a mysterious cave guided by a dazzling light. Inside, they found an angel sitting on a rock, playing soft music. The angel stopped playing and asked Storm what he was doing. Tornado replied that he wanted winter to reconsider the regions of Lapland. The angel explained that in exchange for winter, eight reindeer would help Santa Claus deliver gifts to spread joy worldwide. Tornado thought for a few minutes and agreed. The angel grabbed his trumpet and played. Reindeer saw the first snowflakes falling thanks to the magic of the angel. To respect their pact, they flew to Santa's house to help him deliver gifts and joy into homes around the world. Discover our new Dagoma NEVA or find our Dagoma Discoeasy200.
