The Legend of Eric the Schoolboy A long time ago in Paris, when the Eiffel Tower didn't exist yet, a young boy named Eric would walk on the rooftops of the capital feeling all alone in this vastness because he had no one to play with. His father was a sculptor and his mother, whenever illness didn't force her to stay in bed, painted canvases in their small workshop. But that December 24th night was different: Eric's desire was heightened ... Indeed, very curious, the little boy had always dreamed of solving the mystery of Santa Claus. His friends and family gave him many clues and told his story, but everyone seemed to have their own version. Eric was determined to know the truth. It was then that on that night of December 24th, Eric went out onto the rooftops of his apartment building. Wrapped in his thick fur coat, he began to observe the heights of Paris. He looked at the stars for a long time, the Big Dipper and Orion, and then the moon. Then he saw it pass just before its shadow. He hid behind the fireplace, peeked out, and saw a sleigh with eight reindeer, including one with a large bright red nose. He shifted his gaze, and realized that it was really just a big guy. He was dressed all in red and white, with black shoes. No doubt from the description we had made of this character: it was Father Christmas! A few moments later, while Eric was still hiding behind the fireplace, he heard: "I'm stuck! I'm stuck!" He looked in the direction of the fireplace, and then discovered that fat character stuck in the chimney. He couldn't believe his eyes. He had the urge to keep proof of this miracle, so he made a snow sculpture to reproduce as faithfully as possible the scene. But the snow burst apart when it came into contact with his warm hands ... He quickly brought the sculpture to his father, who hurriedly reproduced but in terracotta. And so, the statue "Santa Claus stuck in a chimney" was born.
