Davy Jones Octopus Man
pinshape
This is a remix of Ball-joint articulated octopus and Ball-joint articulated octopus keyring remix, also inspired by C. Davy Jones. Each leg consists of 9 segments and is printed all at once. To print 8 legs, set up the printer with Printer Brand: Printrbot, Printer: Simple Black, Rafts: No, Supports: No, and Resolution: 0.2mm layer thickness. Infill should be 100% recommended. Notes: A good clean printed leg is free to bend, wriggle and twist. To achieve this, use 85~95% flow compensation and adjust the printing temperature. Printing in 2 Materials with a Single Extruder of Printrbot Simple Metal requires watching How to Print in 2 Materials with a Single Extruder of Printrbot Simple Metal (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EblhVyTctFQ). After printing, assemble Octopusman using Superglue(CA) as shown in Post-Printing Octopusman (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VBMu8-hpHis). To create a custom octopusman with a real face, use Autodesk 123D Catch to generate a 3d file from photos or Agisoft PhotoScan. Modify the Octopus_Man_Head_Upper.stl file by using Autodesk Meshmixer and then replace it with a photo-scanned file. I created octopusman keyrings for my family members.
