Print this adapter at a 10% scale using Slic3r with a 1.0 infill ratio and adjusted filament settings for proper wall fusion. To use, press the 22mm end into the Celestaire Practice Bubble Horizon, leaving any Plath/Tamiya fork mounts intact. The larger 23mm end fits friction-fit onto Davis Mk12, Mk15, and Mk25 plastic sextants. Note that the inside of the sight's sun shade tapers to a cylindrical area for a perfect fit with both the sextant and the horizon adapter. This affordable solution makes Celestaire sights compatible with Davis sextants, offering an inland, airborne, and bad weather celestial navigation tool. Be sure to use sun filters as needed and align the bubble's center with the horizon line before adjusting the sextant for a celestial object. This adapter, printed in ABS, has proven durable after several years of use.
