Davis and Sanford quick release plate features precise 0.79mm (approximately one thirty-second of an inch) indentations on top, allowing easy installation of one-sixteenth inch rubber pads to prevent camera twisting, leaving roughly one thirty-second of an inch exposed above the surface. The screw insert hole is strategically positioned at 10.5mm for effortless plug purchase. The underside boasts clever release catches designed to prevent unexpected sliding out of the plate. Both 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 mounting screws can be used with this plate, as demonstrated. The print settings below produced satisfactory strength in PLA, supporting the weight of a tripod hanging from beneath the camera secured by a single screw. Regardless of material, be cautious not to overtighten the lock knob when attaching the plate to the head, as it is still a delicate plastic component that can crack under excessive force. Although tested with settings supporting approximately 10kg (about 22lbs) at an angle, remember that this is a printed part and may fail unexpectedly due to various circumstances. Printer: MP Mini select Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.175 Infill: 40% cubic pattern with 10% overlap of 0.04mm Notes: Wall thickness 1.6mm, printed in PLA at 200/60 speed, 50mm/s print speed.
