Davinci X Carriage E3D Hotend Bowden upgrade
thingiverse
I upgraded my Davinci 1.1 plus to a Ramps system, which now allows fitting of an E3D hotend using the original top back motor mount for a Bowden type extruder. This upgrade also enables the installation of a depth sensor and the original 12v fan for cooling PLA during printing. The carriage features four LM8UU (8mm x 15mm x 24mm) bearings, effectively removing the motor weight from the X-axis. I'd be happy to provide more information if needed. - Steve Print Settings: Printer: Davinci 1.1 plus Ramps Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 30 Notes: The photo shows a fast print at 0.3mm for testing purposes. I would recommend printing at 0.2mm with ABS.
