Davinci X Carriage E3D Hotend Bowden upgrade

Davinci X Carriage E3D Hotend Bowden upgrade

pinshape

After upgrading my Davinci 1.1 plus to a Ramps, this modification allows fitting of an E3D hotend using the original top back motor mount for a Bowden type extruder, which removes the motor weight off the X axis. This also enables installation of a depth sensor and the original 12V fan for cooling PLA when printing. The carriage utilizes four LM8UU (8mm x 15mm x 24mm) bearings. Printer: Davinci 1.1 plus with Ramps Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 30% Notes: A photo shows a fast 0.3mm print for testing purposes; I would recommend printing at 0.2mm in ABS.
