I'm excited to share a DIY project I've been working on - upgrading my DaVinci Pro 3D printer with a dual E3D V6 extruder carriage. This upgrade not only improves print quality but also increases printing speed and versatility. In this tutorial, I'll walk you through the process step-by-step. First, gather your materials: a dual extrusion kit, an E3D V6 hotend, a Bowden tube set, and some mechanical parts to connect it all together. You can find these components on Amazon or eBay. Next, remove any existing accessories from the carriage and set them aside for later use. Now, attach the new hotend to the carriage using M5 screws. Make sure it's securely fastened before moving on to the next step. Now it's time to install the Bowden tubes. These will connect your hotends to the print head. Cut the tubes to length and attach them to the hotends using heat shrink tubing or electrical tape. Then, connect the other end of each tube to the carriage using M5 screws. With everything connected, reattach any accessories you removed earlier. Now, test your upgraded extruder by running a few prints. You should notice an immediate improvement in print quality and speed. That's it! With these simple steps, you can upgrade your DaVinci Pro 3D printer with a dual E3D V6 extruder carriage.
