Davinci Hot End Bowden clamp

Davinci Hot End Bowden clamp

This is a simple Bowden clamp with an M6 internal thread ramp designed to fit directly onto the hot end of a Davinci. Once you remove the thread guide, it goes straight in with an M8 (13mm) bolt to secure the bowden tube in place. I recommend sanding the last 10mm or so of the tube for a good grip. Once you take off the existing feeder and associated components, it fits perfectly, although tightening the clamp nut can be quite tricky when it's in place. To be fair, this is primarily to test if it works (and it does), so I've switched to a metal bowden fitting, actually the one shown in the picture. However, you'll need to cut off the end of the feed pipe to make that one fit, whereas this one goes straight on. The second photo shows the clamp with the metal bowden coupling installed. Note: Removing the extruder from the head saves nearly 400g, allowing for significantly faster printing, and you can also add a fan to the front to help solidify objects when printing at high speeds (100mm/s or 6000mm/min).
