Davinci 2.0 Filament Fans and Controller

Howdy! I've finally finished a project I started several months ago. The cold weather drove me back inside, and I was able to tackle it head-on. After purchasing my printer, I searched for a decent fan system but couldn't find one that fit my needs perfectly. I wanted a compact design with full control over fan speeds. A buck converter seemed like the perfect solution. Then, I added a digital display for repeatability and a three-way switch so only the fans I needed would run. The fan bracket and duct require supports to print correctly. I originally printed all the parts in PLA but had some issues, so I reprinted them in PETG. Unfortunately, the PLA fan bracket warped after installation, and the fan controller case cracked when I screwed parts in. However, this could have been due to the poor quality of the Tactink filament it was printed with. To connect the fans, I cut the wire and left 5 inches on the fan end. The long section was connected in the controller using a JST XH male connector that came with the fan, routed to the hotend carriage. Then, I soldered a female connector to the fan end. To power the fans, I spliced into the power supply and fused the hot lead. If you're not comfortable wiring directly into the power supply, you can use a wall wart with a switch and barrel connector installed in the back of the machine. I'm still debating whether this was the best decision. I started writing this post a week ago when I began building it, but it got postponed because I needed to order some super lube to grease up my printer before putting it back to work. If I forgot anything, please let me know. I've had a good first print, and everything seems to be working well so far. However, I'm sure there will be updates in the coming months as long as I don't get sidetracked again.
