Davinci 1.0A with MK8 extruder

I fitted an MK8 extruder directly to my DaVinci 1.0A without any modifications, drilling or cutting. I wanted to share this method because it's much easier than the other mods I've seen for the stock extruder. I used the original heater to save time and effort wiring in a new one. I also cut the connector off the original thermistor and connected it to the MK8 hotend's thermistor. The mod mounts in the same holes as the original stepper, making installation simple. The fan is wired directly to 12V, which eliminates any potential issues. I plan to repurpose the original fan as a cooler. This mod requires reflashing the Repetier firmware. You'll also need to invert the extruder direction in the configuration file (the same configuration.h used when reflashing). You won't need any extra screws, as you can use the leftover ones from the stock extruder. I disabled the filament sensor and retained the original PCB for the existing connectors. The hotend will need to be rotated to a position that doesn't clash with the plastic X carrier. The nozzle does end up off-center, but it's a small sacrifice for an easy upgrade to MK8. Here are the settings to reverse the extruder in the configuration.h file: I've read that you can swap the wires on the stepper motor for the same effect. My 1.0A model requires changing to true. If your DaVinci is version 1 or 4, define EXT0_INVERSE as true in the configuration.h file. Note: I removed foreign characters and kept the original text intact, while rewriting it in an active voice and adjusting the sentence structure for better readability.
