DaVinci 1.0 E3D v6 Fan Shroud
thingiverse
After installing an E3D v6 via the http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:707530 resource, I wanted to develop a fan shroud for my existing stock 40 mm extruder fan, so I designed one loosely based on the principles found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:641370. Replacing the old fan is extremely easy as you can utilize the same fan and connectors, and the DaVinci repetier firmware lets you control the fan settings for each print individually. Update: I added version 2 that's elevated 2.5mm at the bottom so it doesn't hit the contact screws on the bed, though I haven't tested this new edition yet. Instructions I divided the design into three parts because dealing with support structure is a nuisance. The parts are quite easy to assemble using glue, and the clip securely fastens to the back of the stepper motor. Since attaching the fan proved tedious, I used twisty ties instead but it performs flawlessly nonetheless; alternatively, you can try gluing or bolting it down.
