Davinci 1.0 E3D Hotend OEM Mount Upgrade (Modified)
thingiverse
I wanted to install an E3D Hotend without moving the extruder motor or replacing major components of my printer. I designed three parts that fit in place of the OEM Hotend and a fan air director, using the Davinci 1.0 model printer as a guide. This item was printed with ABS plastic. To assemble it, you will need to use two M4 machine screws and nuts and four M3 screws. The EPROM settings should be updated by changing the Z Home Pos to -19.00mm and disabling manual calibration. To calibrate the bed, move it to the 0 position, disable the stepper motors, and use paper between the bed and nozzle. Update: I have switched to a Volcano .8mm nozzle. I had to adjust the EPROM settings by changing the Z Home Pos to -28.00mm and calibrating as instructed above. Print Settings: * Printer: Davinci 1.0 * Rafts: No * Supports: No * Resolution: .2mm * Infill: 70% Post-Printing: Backside on the nozzle is printed using a 0.8mm Volcano Hotend/nozzle.
