David, armed with Goliaths massive head, was crafted by Andrea del Verrocchio around 1435-88 in Firenze. Before 1476, the plaster version resided at the Museo Nazionale Bargello in Florence. Commissioned by Laurent and Julien de Medicis between 1472-75, this sculpture stands as a testament to the Italian masters. Located at the National Museum Bargello in Florence, Italy, it depicts David killing Goliath with his trusty slingshot before delivering the final blow.
