Spinning the original text, I transformed a renaissance sculpture model attributed to Michelangelo, sourced from SketchUp, into STL format with a decimated version for ease of use. Wikipedia states that the real-life statue, titled David, is a 5.17m marble depiction of the Biblical hero, initially commissioned for Florence Cathedral but placed in a public square instead. When printing with Cura, scale to desired size, sink the curved base halfway before unveiling, and use brim (recommended) or raft (untested). For Slic3r users, rescale, set layer height to mid-curved base, use a 6mm+ wide brim or raft raft (untested), and remember the statue's tall, narrow form calls for strong platform adhesion and reduced xy acceleration print speed.
