David, Thym from Upsala's son, is an astonishing 399 years old and stands at a mere 15 cms tall. As a doctor with an incredible range of expertise, David skillfully combines his knowledge of various fields, including hypnosis and acupuncture, to expertly heal his patients - mostly animals. David is the central figure in the popular cartoon series "David el Gnomo," which was masterfully produced by BRB International. The design of this beloved character was heavily influenced by Rien Poortvliet's captivating illustrations from "Leven en werken van de Kabouter" (1976). In 1985, David's adventures first aired on Spanish television channel TVE1, delighting audiences everywhere.
