David 3D-Scanner Arduino Turntable
thingiverse
An open-source, Arduino-based 3D scanner turntable for small objects is demonstrated in this project. Check out the video at http://youtu.be/n9UiJGrGvfY. To build it yourself, you'll need an Arduino Uno, a stepper motor, an EasyDriver stepper motor driver, and a David Scanner. Follow these steps: 1) Assemble and print the turntable parts, 2) connect the Arduino to the breadboard and stepper driver as shown, 3) attach a push-button to Arduino Pin 7, 4) upload firmware, 5) plug in, and 6) enjoy scanning. For more information on programming the stepper driver, visit http://danthompsonsblog.blogspot.co.at/search/label/EasydriverTutorials. Please consider donating to support further development of this open-source hardware. More details and updates available at http://www.virtumake.com. Stay tuned for a major update on Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:37835) in a few days. Happy scanning! Please wait for the update before building. Best, Bernhard
