thingiverse
You can get your stuff organized with this flexible, modular, and extendable system. All needed components (e.g., pen holders, bins, phone stands, SD card holders, coin trays, and more) simply fit into a base/holder. Plus, you can modify an existing component or design your own. Everything is standardized to a 1.5-inch (38.5 mm) grid. 1. Pick a base...30+ in this pack... plus Customizables. 2. Pick and arrange components on the base... 90+ in this pack... plus Customizables. 3. Organize your stuff. It’s great for organizing your: - Desk - 3D printer space - Workbench - Hobby or craft table - Sewing area - Conference or side table - Shared equipment or station - Nightstand - Cosmetics - Project parts and supplies To design your own component to fit the grid*: 1. Exterior dimensions should be multiples of 38.5 mm (e.g., 77 mm). 2. Horizontal walls with a thickness of 1.6 mm print nicely with four perimeters using a 0.4-mm nozzle and 0.2-mm layers. 3. You also can use the Thingiverse Customizer to create any size basic tray. To design your own base for the grid*: 1. Interior dimensions should be multiples of 38.5 mm (e.g., 77 mm), plus about 0.1 mm tolerance for each grid span, depending on your printer (e.g., 77 mm + 0.2 mm = 77.2 mm). 2. Horizontal walls with a thickness of 1.6 mm print nicely with four perimeters using a 0.4-mm nozzle and 0.2-mm layers. 3. Horizontal walls of at least 8 mm height help keep the components snug on the base. 4. You also can use the Thingiverse Customizer file to create any size basic base. *If you create and post your own component, please tag it with “DavesModularOrganizer”, so all available components are easily found searching with that tag. I’ve also created a [Collection of Organizer Components](https://www.thingiverse.com/antonaccid/collections/37846263/things), and I’ll add your thing to this collection if you message me about adding it.
