I came into possession of a Dauphin Syncro SL1450P chair with a bad gas lift cylinder. The original gas lift cylinder is made by SUSPA with no other identifiable markings. A cursory search yielded no part numbers or diagrams. If I were able to purchase an original replacement cylinder it would have made the repair beyond economical. I used a generic DOZYANT gas lift cylinder from Amazon. The original cylinder had a 14.5mm or 14.6mm long hexagonal actuator button. The generic replacement has an 8mm long 11.3 mm diameter round button, so the height adjustment level doesn’t work. I made these parts that consist of a plunger and retaining sleeve to sit on the actuator button and below the height adjustment lever. The parts will not fall out of alignment when the chair is flipped upside down. Dimensions of the generic replacement cylinder: 15.4” fully extended 11” compressed 1.1” piston ⌀ 2” cylinder ⌀ 8.6" cylinder can length
