Datsun 240z heater control knob

I quickly whipped up a Datsun 240z heater control knob replica, but it's pricey and not exactly a work of art. I created a prototype in no time, and while it might be functional, it's far from perfect. The design could use some refinement, but I'm eager to test its fit without those pesky set screws. Luckily, it seems to fit okay, so I'll just have to clean it up and tweak the size and shape later. The new version has a slanted and angled look that's more in line with the OEM model, although it still lacks that smooth, rounded appearance that makes a part truly beautiful. A good acetone vapor bath and some post-print work might do the trick, though. In the meantime, you can see my rough prototype in the picture - yes, I'm that careless, I dropped the better one into the abyss of the center console during testing. Guess it's time to print another!
