This is a replacement battery hold down bracket specifically designed for use with a 240z, 260z, or Fairlady Z vehicle. It cleverly utilizes the stock firewall bolt hole and the standard tie down rod that connects to the battery tray. This innovative design allows for seamless integration with new smaller and lower batteries. To ensure optimal performance, I printed this bracket in Nylon, carefully selecting a material that can withstand the warm temperatures found in the engine bay without becoming brittle. Other suitable materials, such as PETG or higher temperature filaments, could also be used successfully. When printing, it's essential to orient the part as it will be placed in the vehicle for accurate fitment. Supports are required for the long area that contacts the battery tray to prevent any warping or damage during the printing process.
