Datsun 1600 / 510 heater fan Inner fan part replacement
thingiverse
I'm modifying Smith's fan blades on my Datsun 510/1600. Check out the full project details in my build thread: https://ozdat.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=22694&start=1425. Here are the instructions: 1. Install the new blade assembly directly on top of the existing fan hub. 2. Carefully drill a 10 mm hole straight down through the center of the existing hub to accommodate the replacement shaft. 3. Use a 24mm drill bit to remove the damaged hub material, taking care not to damage surrounding components. 4. Apply a suitable adhesive to secure the new inner ring in place, ensuring proper alignment with the motor spindle. 5. Tighten a small grub screw to guarantee a firm hold between the replacement shaft and the motor spindle.
