Datsun 120Y (B210) windshield wiper ball joint cap

A faulty wiper led me to discover my Datsun 120Y's (B210, 1975) plastic cap for the ball joint was loose, causing linkage issues during a rainy day. The cap might fit other models and makes too. A photo of a 240Z wiper assembly seemed identical but without dimensions, raising doubts about compatibility. I updated my design, Rev002, with improvements such as thinner shell for better ball accommodation, enhanced flange cutouts, and filleted inside for improved ball fitting. However, I didn't modify the tab cutouts due to performance issues on my computer. Printing the new, thinner cap posed challenges, but adjusting printer settings helped. The wiper motor arm ball diameter is 13mm, matching the lower flange inner diameter for a tight fit. Installed the PLA prototype and plan to test its durability; ABS might be better in outdoor conditions. Further updates are possible if tap cutouts work as desired. Printable replacement caps like mine are now available.
