The Dassault Mirage III is an iconic aircraft that brings back fond memories of my youth, watching French pilots soar through the skies on thrilling adventures in Les chevaliers du ciel. This versatile family of aircraft boasts 1422 units built in various versions, making it a widely exported and renowned model. For this package, three representative models were chosen for their distinctive shapes and construction. The Mirage III C, primarily used by Israel, played a key role in the Six-days War and Yom Kippur War as the Mirage III CJ variant. Its export version, the EA, saw action with Argentine forces during the Falkland War, notable for its exhaust shape and forward-positioned cockpit. Sub-variants of the C and E models fought alongside the South African Air Force in the Border War. The Mirage III O, produced in Australia in 100 airframes, served with the Royal Australian Air Force before being acquired by Pakistan to counter Indian Army forces; despite upgrades, they remain in service today. The O variant closely resembles the E model but features an Avon engine and simplified tail geometry also seen on some French Mirage III E models. Models 1:100 scale are printed at 1:285 with a 0.4mm nozzle and 0.12 mm layers using an Ender3, as shown in the image from PrusaSlicer 2.0.
