Vivacious Violetta is a character crafted to promote the iconic Liberty Bodices created by Fred Cox, Marketing Chief at R & W H Symington & Co of Market Harborough in 1908. It was a plush knitted bodice with elastic buttons, sturdy cotton straps and buttons to secure suspenders and stockings. The bodice revolutionized the way kids dressed during the early years of the twentieth century.
