Dashcam rearview mirror mount
thingiverse
Mount for dashcam. A two-piece design held together by two M3 bolts and hex nuts secures everything firmly into place. One of the bolts acts as a set screw to stabilize the entire assembly. PETG material was chosen to combat heat and UV damage in a car's cabin. I've attached STL and OBJ files from Tinkercad for printing, which I recommend laying flat on your 3D printer. However, one of my attachments seems to be displaying as "vertical" despite being designed for a flat print. This design is specifically tailored for the Porsche 997 with manual mirrors and Cobra CDR-840 dashcams in mind, but it may work for other setups as well. If this inspires you to create your own design, I'm more than happy about that. It's worth noting that this mount might be limited to cars featuring a 10mm horizontal post going to the rearview mirror and sufficient space below the mirror for the dashcam. Also, it may only work with dashcams that have a 16mm ball for the ball-in-socket connection.
