Dashcam adapter for rear view mirror
thingiverse
I bought a dashcam during my vacation for use in my Toyota Avensis 2005. The included suction mount didn't meet my expectations, and it obstructed too much of the view. Additionally, I didn't want to see the LCD screen on the camera's back side while driving; it took three minutes to switch it off. To solve this problem, I mounted the dashcam behind (from the driver's perspective) the rearview mirror. This setup is more secure, doesn't obstruct the view, and conceals the LCD screen. The adapter was custom-made for my car and camera using my AngelCAD software. Edit August 4, 2017 [Check out the camera here](https://www.facebook.com/sandeegadget/photos/a.826469357453545.1073741834.345213938912425/826469630786851/?type=3&theater) A Mark 2 version of the adapter is now available, featuring a more compact design.
