Dashboard parking stub holder 2.0
thingiverse
I reside in Philadelphia, PA (USA) where parking kiosks have replaced meters that accept payment and produce receipts which must be visibly displayed on the vehicle dashboard. In my area, strong gusts of wind cause the receipts to blow off the dash before I can shut the car door. This situation reminds me of attempting to exit the house without allowing our mischievous cat to slip out. To prevent a hefty $37 USD parking fine, this device was created to securely hold the receipt in place. I made some minor adjustments to the design so that the parking stub lies flat and can be easily inserted with one hand. When printing, it's best to have the flat end facing up on the bed for a smoother finish. The holder is attached to the dashboard using double-sided tape, which I obtained at my local Staples store. This type of adhesive is marketed as removable and reusable. As shown in the image, this product could also be affixed to the windshield if needed. I hope you find it useful! Printer Details Printer Brand: Printrbot Printer Model: Printrbot Simple Metal Raft Settings: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: 0.3mm Infill Percentage: 100% Notes: This device can be printed with any type of filament, but it's essential to note that extreme temperatures may cause the material to degrade. I used PET-G because it's flexible and somewhat heat-resistant. PLA is likely to melt and deform under such conditions.
