I completely reimagined the arm and holder due to a tricky issue with the shaped mirror arm, which kept slipping out. The v2 parts snapped perfectly into place and now provide incredible stability. You won't have to remove the mirror at all. This innovative mount is designed for the Chinese 1080P Car Cam Corder (dash cam) and similar devices, allowing it to hide the camera when attached. I specifically aimed for a holder that attaches directly to the reverse view mirror arm. The clever ball design of this mount makes it incredibly easy to adjust. What's more, it was created with Passat 2006 B6 models in mind but should be adaptable to other vehicles as well - you can access the original drawing files to make adjustments if needed. One important note: for a snugger fit, please enlarge the nut by one percent, and you'll find this adjustment already applied in the STL file, even though the drawing files still need it. A few key design choices led me to create this specific holder: first, the arm was deliberately shortened by 2mm so that when attached to the camera, it would pull gently from the side - this adds extra security and provides a bit more reassurance against road vibrations, considering I wasn't too confident in the quality of the Chinese mount.
