Materials: American flags, hot glue gun, dowel, RGB LEDs, polyfill, Arduino Nano, HC-05 Bluetooth Module Colorful video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=18ojSVLnwEU Lightning video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OvdQdgDKFlE Case for solderable breadboard that holds my circuit:https://www.tinkercad.com/things/d0vNP6qnxQN-super-habbi/edit? (STL is attached) How do I wire it? Circuit The circuit is super simple. There's an Arduino Nano, a 5v/3v level shifter, and an HC-05 Bluetooth Module, all soldered into a solderable breadboard. That contraption talks to my Android phone via Software Serial. There's a photo of the circuit attached. I'm happy to draw it out if you leave a comment and ask for it, or feel free to ask questions. The Arduino Nano uses a 5v/3.3v level shifter like this one to drop to 3.3v for the HC-05 Bluetooth Module, since that module isn't rated for 5V logic (it's okay to give it 5V power):http://www.ebay.com/itm/3x-Bi-Directional-Logic-Level-Shifter-Converter-4-CH-3-3V-5V-For-Arduino-I2C-IIC-/131521259438 The tape on the various components is hiding the Arduino and Bluetooth status LEDs. Show me your sourcecode! Software This was my first attempt at messing with Android apps, so I imported Manta's excellent Bluetooth Arduino app as a starting point. I've committed the changes I've made so far, and will have more to come: https://github.com/bobiam/AndroidSmoothBluetooth The Arduino code to control the lights themselves is here:https://github.com/bobiam/dasblinkencloud What's with that silly name? Oh, you're one of today's lucky 10,000! Check out the history of the term Blinkenlights
