Extruder Design Based on MK8 Aluminum Extruder Mechanics for Nema 17 Motors This design offers two versions, each tailored to specific filament types. Both versions come with the option of having the motor mounted either to the left or to the right side. The design features a clear and unobstructed view of the filament input hole, along with a built-in filament guide and pressure adjustment mechanism. Glue is required to secure the knob in place using an M4 screw. Additional receptacles are provided for attaching custom components such as depth probes and fans. No supports are necessary, as they are integrated into the 3D models. To assemble this extruder, you'll need a hobbed drive gear (MK8 with approximately 7mm effective diameter) and the following hardware: 1x 623 bearing 1x M4x10mm-15mm screw with hexagonal head (knob) 1x M4 nut for securing the knob 2x M3x30mm screws for motor and assembly 1x M3x10mm screw for bearing installation 3x M3x25mm screws for motor and filament guide This design is licensed under The TAPR Open Hardware License.
