Compact Direct Drive Extruder for Nema 17 Motors. https://youtu.be/2DG1vYbFB0w For use with 1.75mm filament, add a 4mm OD/3mm ID PTFE tube piece to achieve optimal results. Two motor configurations are available: one with the motor pointing left and another with the motor pointing right. This design allows for a clear view of the filament input hole and includes a built-in filament guide/pressure adjustment mechanism. Secure the knob in place using glue on an M4 screw. Four stiffness options are available for the filament guide, labeled A, B, C, and D, with A being the softest and D the hardest. No supports are needed as they are included in the 3D models. To assemble this direct drive extruder, you will need a hobbed Drive Gear (MK7 with an effective diameter of approximately 10.56mm), along with the following hardware: 1x 623 bearing 1x M4x10mm-15mm screw, hexagonal head (knob) 1x M4 nut (knob holder) 3x M3x8mm screws (motor) 1x M3x10mm screw (bearing) 3x M3x25mm screws (assembly) 2x M3 nut (assembly) 1x M3 auto-locking nylon nut (assembly/filament guide) This design is licensed under the TAPR Open Hardware License.
