Dasaki Compact 1:3 Geared Extruder for Prusa i3 (MK7 drive gear)
thingiverse
Compact geared extruder designed for makers and DIY enthusiasts. Compared to Wade's design, it boasts a more compact profile. The large wheel features 33 teeth, while the small wheel has 11. A wide range of motor sizes is supported, from Nema 17 to Nema 11. The Body_part_B_1_75mm model is specifically designed for 1.75mm filament and requires an additional 4mm OD/3mm ID PTFE tube piece. In contrast, the Body_part_B_3_00mm model is optimized for 3mm filament, with no need for a PTFE tube. Filament guides named "1_75" are designed for use with 1.75mm filament and provide a clear view of the filament input hole. These guides also feature a pressure adjustment mechanism that can be secured using some glue on an M4 screw. The stiffness of the piece can be adjusted to one of four different levels, and the motor position can be customized to either the left or right side. No supports are required for this design, as they are already included in the 3D models. The Body_part_A and body_part_B sections provide space for extra M3 captive nuts, allowing users to attach their own accessories like fan ducts and leveling sensors. To build this extruder, you will need a hobbed Drive Gear (MK7 with an effective diameter of approximately 10.56mm) as well as the following hardware: * 2x 605 bearings * 1x 623 bearing * 1x M5x45mm screw with a hexagonal head * 1x M5 auto-locking nut * 2x M5 washers * 1x M4x10mm screw with a hexagonal head (used for the knob) * 1x M4 nut (used to hold the knob in place) * 3x M3x10mm screws (used for motor attachment) * 3x M3x25mm screws (used for assembly) * 4x M3 nuts (2 used for assembly and 2 for pinion attachment) * 1x M3 auto-locking nut (used for the filament guide) Note that a "pancake" Nema 17 motor with a torque of 12 N*cm is shown in the images, although it's worth mentioning that this particular motor gets warmer than stronger options.
