This is a 2WD robot I designed to teach an "Introduction to robotics" workshop in the Master in Visual Arts and Multimedia at the Fine Arts College of the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (http://www.artesvisualesymultimedia.com/). The goal was a design that could carry all the pieces included in the robot such as battery, arduino microcontroller board, infrared sensors, ultrasonic range sensor etc. at the minimal cost and easy to build which means as many printed parts and as few accessory parts (screws ...) as possible. You can adjust the position of the body pieces to match your battery height maximum battery height is 30mm. The piece called bumper is designed to carry three line sensors with M3 screws and nuts and two micro switches. Using a ping pong ball as caster wheel saves some money I had the idea before seeing that I was not the first one which is what usually happens nowadays but I designed it from scratch. All the printed pieces fit in a 170x170mm area to be printed in one 4 hour session with the suggested printing settings. The wheels included are 70mm diameter and designed to snap on a 6-arm standard servo horn and hold a 4mm width rubber band as tire I already published separately a more advanced wheel the Dasaki SGLP super-grip + loose-proof servo robot wheel. You can also double the speed of movements with my compact servo 1:2 (2x) multiplier gearbox.
