Darwin Mini Robot Display Stand

Darwin Mini Robot Display Stand

thingiverse

A custom display stand for the Robotis Darwin mini robot that allows it to be safely displayed on a shelf without falling off is designed and printed using an Ender 3 Pro at 0.3mm resolution, taking only five hours to complete. The stand's weight distribution ensures the robot's centre of gravity remains forward, necessitating its placement at the rear of the platform to prevent tipping over. This design also keeps the robot's feet entirely within the footprint of the stand. A test print reveals that the top pegs holding the robot in place are slightly loose, requiring further adjustment. Initially using 3.5mm diameter pegs, they were increased to 3.9mm after a test fit, anticipating a standard 4mm hole size. However, it appears an even larger diameter is necessary for a secure fit. Further refinement of the design may be undertaken if there's sufficient interest in this project. Otherwise, it will remain as is, without further development. Time should not be wasted on a potentially unused creation, especially considering the Robotis Darwin mini has been available since 2014 and its popularity remains uncertain due to its age.
