Darth Vader Mask - Snap together (Remix)
thingiverse
Human: Harness the dark side of the force to conquer those pesky Covid Virions! This is a Darth Vader face mask, designed for stealthy protection. It prints with no supports required and snaps together seamlessly. Of course, for optimal coverage, you can attach a layer of cloth or fabric behind the mesh screen. A piece of cheesecloth or even bits from an old mask will do. During assembly, consider adding a small dab of super glue to the end corners once you snap it into place. I find that a 100% print size is too large for my face, so I opt for 90%. For extended wear, I highly recommend sanding the mesh smooth, as your chin rests against it and otherwise it can become irritating. To enhance comfort, try placing a bit of stick-on weatherstripping under the nose. You might even want to consider adding some padding to the mask for added security. This design is a remix of Reedy26's excellent no-support mask halves. I've added two snap joints that align the two halves perfectly. On May 21st, 2020, I reoriented the bottom half to ensure proper printing.
