Darth Vader lightsaber with lights and sounds
cults3d
I'm creating a custom lightsaber inspired by Darth Vader's iconic design. The saber features LED lights with multiple colors and sound effects controlled by an Arduino microcontroller. To achieve this unique effect, I've integrated an accelerometer into the saber's design, allowing the sound to change in response to movement. This means that when you swing or manipulate the saber, the sound will adjust accordingly, creating a truly immersive experience. For the build, I'll be using the following components: * A 0.85 m transparent PVC tube with a thickness of 32mm (3.5mm) - ideally, a thinner material would be preferred for weight reduction. * An Arduino NANO microcontroller * 2 meters of addressable LED strip with WS2811 technology, 12V voltage, white PCB, IP30 rating, and 60 LEDs per meter * A button with an integrated LED, powered by a 5V source * An MPU6050 accelerometer for detecting movement and adjusting sound effects * An 8 GB microSD card for storing data or sound files * A mini microSD module for convenient access to the SD card * Three 3.7v AA-sized batteries with 900 mAh capacity * A DCDC step-down converter (XM1584) with a 3A rating * An amplifier (PAM8403) capable of handling 2x3W at 5V * A 40mm speaker with 3W power * Two 220 Ohm resistors * A power button for easy control * A charging port for convenient recharging * A battery holder for four AA-sized batteries * A prototype board for assembling the components * Various wires and bolts (M3) * PLA filament (300 grams)
