This kit enables you to transform an everyday PVC pipe (1 inch inner diameter) into a gleaming Darth Vader hilt. The files have been extensively modified and remixed from CaseStudyno8's original design. The majority of the hilt is comprised of the PVC pipe, leaving only a few components and the grip sections that need to be printed. Assembled with 2-part epoxy, these parts combine seamlessly. To achieve a realistic metallic surface, carefully wrap the PVC pipe in aluminum tape and then smooth out the wrinkles by rubbing it gently with a pen. Next, rotate the pipe within rough cloth to create a brushed look. A grip guide is also included in the files, ensuring that you can space the T-tracks perfectly for assembly. The pipe boasts a 1 inch inner diameter, making it an ideal fit for most polycarbonate blades. While it may be slightly snug for electronics, this configuration is still feasible. If you prefer not to use a blade, you can print the emitter plug to give your hilt a finished look. Enjoy building and sharing pictures of your completed project!
