Darth Vader Belt Boxes (A New Hope/Rogue One)
thingiverse
I created these models after months of scouring forums for exact dimensions, as no one has a copy of the originals, making everything essentially guesswork. Fortunately, I was able to track down the green lights used on the originals and built upon those measurements. When building the boxes, I highly recommend using PETG because you'll need them to be sturdy enough to be sanded. For the lights, I used clear PLA with a 5% infill and printed with "Very Detailed" settings. Apply a transparent paint (I used Model Masters Clear Green) for the rectangular lights. Since the red lights are fairly opaque on the original suit, I don't have a good suggestion for this. The boxes are designed to fit a 2" through them, and I've included holes on each side so that tops can be screwed in place like the real version.
