Darth Maul with Multi-Color Head
thingiverse
Darth Maul was meticulously crafted in ZBrush before undergoing a thorough retopology process within Maya, resulting in a precise split between black and red hues for optimal multi-color printing. This ambitious project spanned an entire week. To minimize material waste on support structures, both arms were carefully dissected, allowing pins and keys to be strategically added for seamless connection to the body later on. The intricate head was then printed separately using a dual-extruder printer, skillfully combining black and red filaments in perfect harmony. Light saber components were also split, enabling each part to be printed with distinct red and silver filaments.
