Darth Maul Planter (remix)
cults3d
I used Double_Alfa's design to create a planter from scratch. This project requires dual extrusion to print successfully. In addition to the hole in the top, I also designed a water reservoir within the neck of the planter that includes an overflow tube. The plate will keep substrate above it while still allowing it to come into contact with water, keeping the soil consistently moist. This system ensures the plant stays hydrated without requiring daily watering. I recommend inserting a drinking straw from the top down to the reservoir before adding the substrate so you can fill the reservoir directly (I had difficulty finding a suitable location for it in the design, and including it took up too much space or required significantly more material than a single drinking straw). It's also essential to monitor the plant closely during its initial few days of growth as the new substrate will absorb a substantial amount of water before reaching equilibrium. Lastly, I've added an optional dripping tray that can be printed with dual extrusion. This feature is not necessary but provides additional functionality for the planter. To ensure clarity, I've included separate files that merge the head and tray designs together.
With this file you will be able to print Darth Maul Planter (remix) with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Darth Maul Planter (remix).
