Darth Bane's Lightsaber (with internals)
thingiverse
As far as this design goes, I pulled the concept straight from a description in the Dark Bane novels. Made some sketches based on the description, and then modeled my favorite one. According to the book, it features a synthetic kyber crystal with a hooked appearance, so I designed it similar to a saber hilt. When Bane's skills reached mastery level, his blade master handed him over a top-notch lightsaber. Bane didn't create this himself, but he never built his own in the books because it was an exceptional blade. If you want to print the Sith Runes at the current scale of the STLs with a .2 nozzle, you're good to go. Those runes spell out "Urvas Maras" in the Sith language and "Darth Bane" in Basic. Character Description: Darth Bane, Master of the Dark Side, 1000 BBY A thousand years before Anakin rose as a Jedi and fell as a Sith, Darth Bane was the undisputed Master of the Sith Order. He was the dark and twisted character who single-handedly killed off all other Sith in the galaxy and established the one and only rule of the Sith Order: only one Sith Master and one Apprentice at a time. His legacy would go down in history as the "Rule of Two," next to his earth-shattering power. What made him an interesting figure was how he chose to engage in battle. Darth Bane didn't attack the Republic's forces head-on, but rather used manipulation and cunning to put a Sith in a position to lead the Republic at some point in the future. This became the foundation where Darth Sidious grew to power and eventually created the Empire out of the Republic. Update: I've printed everything out and it looks great so far. I'm taking my time with the prime/sand and painting work, but this is what I have to show for it. The screw works best after you prime and paint it. My printer's tolerances range from .8 to 1 mm. Happy printing!
