DarkMoth FPV Wing
thingiverse
The DarkMoth is a revised mini delta wing with a 400mm wingspan designed for stable flight without a flight controller, boasting extreme portability for flying anywhere. All electronics are housed in a 3D printed center pod, and the wing consists of three stacked layers of foam board for a KF style aerofoil. I designed it to ensure rebuilds would be quick and simple after a crash, though it's proven very durable so far. Mine uses two 9G servos, a 2S 450mah lipo battery, and a 4500KV 1106 motor. The camera housing is designed to fit a RunCam Micro Eagle or RunCam Micro Swift camera. I highly recommend printing the motor mount in ABS or other high-temp plastics because those little 1106 motors can get quite hot. Also, an updated camera adapter has been added to hold a tinywhoop style AIO camera. UPDATE - A revised motor mount has been created for far better cooling and a better line of thrust for more lift. This moves the motor into a dropped position behind the frame. Control horns have also been added, which I previously forgot to upload. Additionally, two additional fins can be mounted to the underside of the wing for slightly improved stability and prop protection. The same fin copy can be used while cutting off the "step".
