Hey folk of the future this is my design for Darkfield condenser; with conical reflector and an half-ball. Made for Oil immersion The STL files are for design with NA 1.1-1.2, using an half-ball of BK7 glass, diameter 9mm. Fits thecondenser holder of 39mm diameter (Old English models, Swift&Son) The Freecad file can be customized for different NAs: To do so, open the Master Sketch and change the dimensions Check that the bodies change accordingly! The print in the photos works at 1.35-1.45, so it gives nice DF with a 100x 1.25 I've made about 10 prototypes as for today. Print and assembling: Print fine, best with black No supports, rafts or so. The "cap" should be reversed (flat face down) A strip of aluminium foil has to be glued on the "mirror" cone. Two pieces "press ball" and Jig body" are just for assembling press ball, to press the half-ball in place Jig, to glue the "stop" to the half-ball lens centered. In case of massive enthusiast feedback I may redesign the pieces to fit other microscopes and maybe even Openscad Giorgio 12 Feb 2022 Edit 16 Mars 2022 added a fantastic dovetail that should fit "Zeiss Standard"
