Darkest Dungeon TBG Insert

### A custom insert for the Darkest Dungeon board game with sleeved cards. The original board game doesn't have any insert suitable to hold all cards with sleeves put on. Unable to find anything on the Internet, I've decided to start this project and create my own, custom insert that will organize all cards and tokens inside the core game box. I've ended up modeling all elements by myself, however the general inspiration for this work were following projects: - [Darkest Dungeon Board Game - Token Box](https://www.printables.com/pl/model/344887-darkest-dungeon-board-game-token-box) by [tortillaconference](https://www.printables.com/pl/@tortillaconfe_489041) - [Darkest Dungeon TTG - Condition Tokens Holder/Organiser](https://www.printables.com/pl/model/333292-darkest-dungeon-ttg-condition-tokens-holderorganis) by [LDO](https://www.printables.com/pl/@LDO_456924) - [Darkest Dungeon Boardgame Cardholder for sleeved cards](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5900401) by [bgp_boardgame_pimping](https://www.thingiverse.com/bgp_boardgame_pimping/designs) # How to print In the following paragraphs wou'll find detailed information what parts to print and how to post-process them. ### Containers for mini cards Those models can be print-in-place without any problems. ### Containers for bigger cards For most of the card types I've decided to use containers that consist of two parts - the front hull and the back side - that can be glued together post-printing. The reason for this is that most of those holders will be laying flat inside the game box. If I would just scale-up models used for eg. Hero Cards, then the cards might fold under the weight of the upper layers of boxes and simply get damaged. Additional back side for each container secures cards from that. I know it's not the perfect solution, especially due to the need for glueing parts together (which might be demanding for some pieces), but it works for me right now. However I'd like to iterate over this desing in the future. ## Parts to print Below there's a list of all parts you need to print for each cards type. + Double-size Monster/Boss Cards: Cards_L_Back + Cards_L_Front_12mm + Monsters lvl 1 Cards: Cards_M_Back + Cards_M_Front_24mm + Monsters lvl 2 Cards: Cards_M_Back + Cards_M_Front_7mm + Monsters lvl 3 Cards: Cards_M_Back + Cards_M_Front_6mm + Monsters Darkest Dungeon Cards: Cards_M_Back + Cards_M_Front_15mm + Boss lvl 1 Cards: Cards_M_Back + Cards_M_Front_6mm + Boss lvl 2 Cards: Cards_M_Back + Cards_M_Front_6mm + Boss lvl 3 Cards: Cards_M_Back + Cards_M_Front_6mm + Boss Darkest Bungeon Cards: Cards_M_Back + Cards_M_Front_7mm + Boss Ability Cards: Cards_M_Back + Cards_M_Front_12mm + Quest Cards: Cards_M_Back + Cards_M_Front_11.5mm + Hamlet Event Cards: Cards_M_Back + Cards_M_Front_10mm + Player Aid Cards: Cards_M_Back + Cards_M_Front_5mm + Boss Room Cards: Cards_S_Back + Cards_S_Front_5mm + Stygian Room Cards: Cards_S_Back + Cards_S_Front_10mm + Room Cards: Cards_S_Back + Cards_S_Front_10mm + Curio Cards: Cards_S_Back + Cards_S_Front_14mm ## Post-printing Per each bigger cards holder you need to print two pieces: a personalized '*_Front' part and a common '*_Back' side. Then you need to glue them together - any glue suitable for plastic will be good. This step requires some extra care in order to not bend the flexible back side while holding parts together during glue setting time. ## Using the insert Following video shows how to organize game elements inside the box [Darkest Dungeon TBG Insert - how to use it](https://youtu.be/ayX7XwBkj74) ## Changelog: - 27-08-2023: initial project files + added files for Hero Skills and Hero Cards/Hero PvP Cards holders - 30-08-2023: added cards holders for other mini cards (initiative, virtues/afflictions, diseases, trinkets, quirks) - 16-09-2023: added models of cards holders for the remaining cards; added printing manual in project's description - 22-12-2023: added models of token boxes - 05-01-2024: added a short video showing how to use the insert to organize game elements inside the box ### Print settings - nozzle size: 0.4 - layer height: 0.2 - wall line count: 2 - infill: 20% for cards holders, 40-60% for tokens boxes I'm using Creality Sermoon V1 printer
