These are the modified parts I used by Magnavis to build his model https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4026233 Works like a charm. Here's a video of it opening: https://imgur.com/kmLfEuz Here is a run down of what the parts are: Top magnet connector - this goes between the two quarter ring segments where the hilts meet when closed. Fitted for a 8x3mm magnet. Hinge A & B - tightened the tolerance for the hilt grip connection (if too tight, just sand down or let me know and I will add a new one), made it hold up to 10 magnets, moved the hex nut slot to the outside to make tension better, fits M3x30 and M3 nut. Use supports. Main hilt 001 split - cut up the upper main section so the red and silver parts could be printed separately, and no supports needed. Refer to the original render photo for where the parts go. Support rods - .35mm layer ht horizontally printed rods that form the core of the build. About 1 cm too long for one side of the hilt, I had to cut it so plan ahead and cut or use wire cutter. No support. Mini screws - these are the little screws around the metal details at the top. They are tricky to print so use reinforced supports. Main hilt grip 001 & 002 split - cut up the grip sections so they could be printed with color swapping (pause & filament change) to get the red into the inner rings. Also no support. 2 of the lower sections are different heights so they would have to be color swapped in separate prints. Metal details ring/switch - this is a part that was separated into black and silver parts so no painting is needed. Use supports for the ring. Update 2/9/20 Forgot to include the black screw with an indented hole, simply cosmetics of course for the top part called "Switch". Alternate part if you choose. Update 3/2/20 Added the main grip as sections separated from the red rings for easier printing. Refer to photos for correct placement. The part called "Dark-Rey-Lightsaber-Main-Hilt-Grip-001__002_split_SILVER_short_x2.stl" is actually only needed 1 time, not 2.
