Dark Matter X (Alpha)
thingiverse
This is the long-awaited follow-up to Edge X, a project that was never officially released. Note: This is not yet ready for public use; additional files will be uploaded once they have been thoroughly tested. I'm currently working on replacing structural plastic parts with metal ones. A functional prototype using makeshift parts (not shown) is now available. Changelog: - Four times more stability thanks to upgraded X-axis bearings - Enhanced look with curved acrylic design elements - Marlin 2.0 Upcoming Features Include: - Custom-made aluminum extrusions matching the current acrylic parts' appearance - DLP compatibility, designed for use with either FDM or DLP builds but prioritizing resin printing - MGN12 Linear rails to replace linear rods - Reduced lead on the Z rod - currently 8mm per rotation, will be lowered to 1mm to enable Z axis support without power - Replacing RAMPS with a stm32-based 32-bit board - USB-C connectivity - A 2k 8.9 inch LCD for DLP projection (with a build area of 120 x 190mm) - Switching to DLP will allow for equal counterweighting in the cantilever design
