The gadget is a remade batarang from the resourceful inventor ThatTTUGuy, available for examination at this address: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:26130 . A piece broke loose when it came out too small in the printing process, but I chalked that up to trial-and-error adjustments with part extrusion.
